Gradient panels

Define start colour, end colour, direction, transition length and sheet orientation. Where several panels form one field, number them and show the intended sequence so the gradient can be reviewed across seams. Metallic or pearlescent effects can shift with viewing angle.

Artwork and pattern panels

Send vector artwork where possible or a high-resolution raster at final scale. Confirm crop, bleed, colour profile, viewing distance and which details must remain visible after cutting. Approve a physical proof before full production when the graphic is critical.

Washi paper panels

Paper weight, fibre, colour and backing affect appearance. Confirm that the decorative layer is intended to be encapsulated and agree face finish. Washi can show natural variation, so specify the acceptable visual range rather than expecting a perfectly uniform print.

Lighting mock-ups

A custom panel can look different when front-lit, backlit or viewed from the side. Use representative light temperature, LED spacing and cavity depth. Record the approved state so production and site commissioning have a common reference.

Panel sequence and seams

Create a panel schedule with dimensions, orientation, artwork filenames and installation order. Decide whether a pattern continues across joints or is deliberately contained within each panel. Mark the visible face and grain direction.

Inspection and delivery

Check the approved sample, artwork file, panel numbering and packing marks together. For high-value custom work, agree pre-shipment photographs and the party responsible for approving the final appearance before dispatch.
